Bike break: Nature & Tasting
Just a few minutes from the Canal du Midi, we welcome you for a rejuvenating break at the heart of our domain, which has been organically farmed for 20 years.
After your bike ride, take a moment to unwind and reconnect with nature as you stroll along our trail, surrounded by vines, olive trees, and preserved biodiversity.

The Canal du Midi – The Estagnol Nature Reserve (ENS) – The work of an Independent Winemaker
Discover the treasures of our Minervois region
23 km circuit | Duration: 1h30 (without stops)
- Departure from Domaine des Homs with pickup of your electric bikes.
- Take the 4.5 km panoramic route leading to the Canal du Midi.
- Enjoy a 360° view of the dried-up Marseillette pond, Mount Alaric, the Pyrenees in the background, and the Montagne Noire.
- Arrive at the Petit Pont de Pierre on the Canal du Midi, then follow the towpath for 6 km. After passing the Puicheric Lock, you’ll reach the Épanchoir, a historic monument of the Argent Double. Completed in 1694 according to Vauban’s plans, this architectural and technical masterpiece is made of 11 stone arches.
- Cross the D11 to the other side of the Canal du Midi and ride to Port La Fabrique, where you can take a break or enjoy a snack by the canal. The Tourist Office is also located here if needed.
With your “battery recharged”, hop back on your bike and head to the Estagnol Nature Reserve for 6.5 km. Observe, listen, and immerse yourself in this biodiversity hotspot, or take a 1.5 km marked trail on foot.
Just 3 km more, and you’ll be back at Domaine des Homs, where the winemaker will introduce you to his craft from A to Z.
We’ll finish with a wine tasting, which can be paired with a local gourmet platter if you wish.

To reach us safely and quickly from the Pont de Pierre on the Canal du Midi in Puicheric, take Rural Path No. 1 toward Rieux-Minervois in the direction of Domaine des Homs. Be sure to pause along the way to enjoy a 360° p
